Grades and Transcripts
Release of Grades
The University of North Dakota respects your privacy and follows the provision of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).
According to FERPA, you are ensured the full protection of your student record, which includes maintaining the confidentiality of educational records. Educational records may not be released without your written consent to any individual, agency, or organization.
Because of this privacy act, your grades are not given out over the phone, fax, or e-mail.

View Your Grades
All grades are recorded at the Office of the Registrar at the University of North Dakota.
You may view your grades and your "unofficial transcript" through the student account program, UND Campus Connection.
Step 1: Retrieve Your User ID & Password for Campus Connection
To access your student account information, you will need to contact the NDUS Help Desk at 1.866.457.6387 to retrieve your User ID and Password for UND Campus Connection. You will be asked some questions to verify your identify, and then you will be supplied with your User ID and Password.
Note: Your User ID is your Student ID number, so if you know that, the NDUS Help Desk can supply you with your Password more quickly.
Step 2: View Your Grades
- Go to: UND Campus Connection and click on the large black arrow to the right to access the system.
- Log on to: UND Campus Connection with your User ID and Password.
- Select "Self-Service" in the blue "Menu" box at the left.
- Select "Academic Records."
- Choose "View Unofficial Transcript" and follow the process.
NOTE: Once your are logged into UND Campus Connection, you may also order your Official Transcript for a fee of $5.00 per transcript.
Transcripts: 2 Options for Ordering
All grades for professional development credits are recorded on official transcripts at the University of North Dakota as continuing education credits. UND has authorized the National Student Clearinghouse to provide transcript ordering via the Internet.
There is a $5.00 charge per transcript. Your credit card will be charged when UND sends your transcript(s).
IMPORTANT! Please wait at least 2 to 3 weeks after your course end date to request transcript(s). If you place your order too early, your grade may not be recorded on your transcript. To ensure your grades are posted prior to ordering your Official Transcript, you may:
- Log onto UND Campus Connection to view an Unofficial Transcript (see the steps outlined above). Once you are logged into UND Campus Connection, you may also order your Official Transcript. OR
- Request your transcript be held until your grades are posted (see the steps outlined in #4 below).
ORDER ONLINE
- Make sure you have:
- a valid major credit card
- an e-mail account
- your signed consent (your signature needs to be faxed, scanned and e-mailed, or mailed in to complete your online order).
- Click on Online Transcript Ordering
- Complete the information as requested. For the "Enrollment/Degree Information" section, note the following:
- Unless you are a current degree-seeking student, you should indicate that you are not currently enrolled at UND.
- For all graduate professional development credits, please select "Workshops."
- The dates you enter for "Begin Year" and "End Year" are for your complete transcript history. You should enter the first year you completed a course or workshop from UND.
- If you are unsure that your grades have been posted, you may request your transcript to be held by the UND Registrar Office. To request this option, select "After Grades Are Posted" under the "Delivery Options" and call the UND Registrar's Office at 701.777.2711 to provide the Name, Ending Date, and Project Number (if known) of the last course taken.
